Here are two sign assemblies for the PA 27 JCT including a sign for Meadville City limits. Below right is the first US 6 and US 19 South combination after the PA 27 exit. A Meadville Exits sign is barely visible in that last picture, but a close up is shown below.
From US 6 East & US 19 North a picture of the upcoming PA 27 turn, and below, a view of US 6 & US 19 heading north out of Meadville, following French Creek to Saegertown.
To the left are two "TO US 6 & 19" assemblies found on Spring St and Terrace, respectively. To the right are signs found at the west end of PA 27. Below is looking east at the intersection of Reynolds & Terrace. You can see PA 27 shields for both directions. PA 27 West is heading to French Creek Parkway, while PA 27 East is beginning it's multi-turn course through Meadville.
Before the French Creek Parkway was built, PA 27 ended at the corner of Park Avenue and North St. in Meadville. In the early seventies, it was extended to the new highway. Below is a view looking south on US 19 towards Meadville.
