KEYSTONE HIGHWAYS SPARTANSBURG  -  JCT PA 77 & PA 89 NORTH

PA 77 & PA 89 split just west of Spartansburg.

To the right are the first shields for PA 89 and PA 77 after the split.  While PA 89 North continues to Wattsburg, PA 77 East serves as Main St. for Spartansburg (below).

Leaving Spartansburg, PA 77 West joins PA 89 South.  Below is a view of the intersection, with closeups of the three shields to the right.

The signs below are found at the same intersection .  The PA 89 South shield should also have a PA 77 West shield with it.

Shortly after the two routes are joined, they are signed together.  The view to the right is heading south towards Titusville.

Spartansburg is a small community in the northeastern corner of Crawford County.  It is in the heart of the region's Amish country.  Meadville is 29 miles to the west and Corry is 8 miles to the northeast.  PA 77 and PA 89 are multiplexed as they approach Spartansburg from the southwest.
