KEYSTONE HIGHWAYS
BLOOMING VALLEY  -  JCT PA 77 & PA 198
Blooming Valley is a small borough seven miles outside of Meadville.  It does not have a post office, so you can be a resident of Blooming Valley and have a zip code or phone exchange for Meadville, Saegertown or Guys Mills.
<------ You are here
PA 77 is a tree lined highway through the small community of Blooming Valley.  A left hand turn onto PA 198 West takes you by Woodcock Creek Lake.
Trucks heading west on PA 77 must use PA 198 West to US 19 South to enter Meadville.  Perhaps this route should also be signed as TRUCK PA 77.  Even though the end of PA 77 is still seven miles away.  The PA 77 West sign shown at the far right in Blooming Valley is the last one on the route.
In the first picture above on the right, PA 198 East makes a sharp turn to the right before crossing PA 77.  Below on the far right is the first PA 198 East shield leaving Blooming Valley heading towards Guys Mills.  Immediately to the right is another sign for the Erie National Wildlife Refuge which is located by Guys Mills.
The picture on the far right is a closeup of the first PA 198 West assembly in the background of the picture below.
