Johnny Lee crossed over from the country chart with "Looking For Love", one of six Top 40 singles from "Urban Cowboy". Although the song only spent a single week at number one, it logged 19 weeks in the Top 40. Urban Cowboywasn't the only successful soundtrack in 1980. Xanadualso produced five hits by Olivia Newton-John, Electric Light Orchestra and Cliff Richard. Pat Benatar began the year with a number one hit ("Heartbreaker") and finished the year with a number two single ("Hit Me With Your Best Shot"). The latter was kept out of number one by the late John Lennon's "Starting Over". Lennon spent the final three weeks of 1980 at the top (#54 for the year). "Starting Over" would log another three weeks at the top in 1981. Billy Joel, UU-BRU Radio Playlist's top male artist of 1978, repeated the act in 1980, also becoming the top act of the year. Disco may have been declared dead by 1980, but top singles by Shalamar, The S.O.S. Band and Lipps, Inc kept the gendre alive onUU-BRU Radio Playlistthroughout the year. Harry Wayne "KC" Casey of The Sunshine Band scored a number one hit with high school friend Teri DeSario and "Yes, I'm Ready". Michael Jackson may have scored four hits from "Off The Wall", but his older brother had the bigger single of the year with Stevie Wonder's "Let's Get Serious".
